Motorola Camera options update .

Image
Update:  It looks like the Motorola Gallery app has gotten some Material love as well. Article is updated accordingly. Motorola's Camera and Gallery apps for its Moto X, Moto G, and Droid devices snagged an update today. While the Camera update is rather minor, it did nab a couple of new features including new 3-second and 10-second options for the timer, and the double wrist flick gesture now also handles switching between the front and back cameras. On the Gallery side of things, nothing has really changed other than a fresh coat of Material, but it does look very nice. If you want to check these out for yourself, be sure to hit up the Google Play link above for the camera, and you can grab the Gallery update here. Also, you can check out a gallery of the changes below. Source :  http://www.androidcentral.com/

Samsung Smartphone Flat-Screen Crowd.

Image
Samsung Electronics Co Ltd aims to restore its crumbling lead in the global smartphone industry in part by ramping up high-end devices with curved screens full of advanced technology that's tough for rivals to replicate. Yet as the South Korean giant seeks to make devices like the rigid-curve Galaxy Note Edge   stand out from a crowd of flat, big-screen handsets, making money will depend on producing them cost-effectively and coaxing developers to tailor applications for the new format. Only Apple Inc has maintained full brand premium. The collective industry move towards larger screens makes distinctive designs tougher to achieve, said Kim Nam-su, a senior Samsung Electronics designer and an architect of the Note Edge.
